The Arch of Titus: A first century honorific arch. This arch was built to commemorate the Siege of Jerusalem by Titus’ older brother, shortly after the death of Titus. This arch is perhaps the most well known and the basis for many, if not all, Triumphal Arches, most significantly the Arc de Triomphe. The last person to be photographed in this arch was Adolf Hitler. Since then it’s been cordoned off.
